Netflix allows users to create multiple profiles on a single account, which can be useful for households with multiple users or for separating your own movie and TV show preferences. However, if you share your Netflix account with others, you may want to lock your profile to keep your viewing history and recommendations private. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to lock your Netflix profile.
Step 1: Log in to your Netflix account on a web browser.
Step 2: Click on your profile icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
Step 3: Select “Manage Profiles” from the drop-down menu.
Step 4: Find the profile that you want to lock and hover over it. You will see a pencil icon appear. Click on it.
Step 5: A “Profile Settings” window will pop up. In this window, you will see an option to “Require a PIN to access this profile”. Toggle this option to “on”.
Step 6: Set a 4-digit PIN. Make sure to remember this PIN as you will need it to access your profile in the future.
Step 7: Click on “Save” to apply the changes.
Step 8: The next time someone attempts to access your locked profile, they will be prompted to enter the PIN. Without the correct PIN, they will not be able to view your profile or your viewing history.
Step 9: If you want to unlock your profile in future, repeat steps 1-4 and toggle off the “Require a PIN to access this profile” option.
With this simple step-by-step guide, you can easily lock your Netflix profile and keep your viewing history and recommendations private. Just make sure to remember your PIN, otherwise, you will not be able to access your profile.
